Well it turns out that I need to learn how to read a table of contents.  I thought the first page was the whole part and that each page was a new article.  Now that I've got that figured out here is my addendum to my previous post.  This does seem to go against the logic of the man-month by the progress of a FOSS being sped up by having more contributors.  I think the big difference which was touched on in the paper is that these are people who weren't just hired to fill a slot in a job but people who wanted to work on this project. So they have a desire to put more effort then just enough to not get fired.

I also liked his hesitation on saying that Mozilla was going to be a successful venture.  I think that if he went back to revise the paper one last time he could put that hesitation aside.
