7.2.2 I used the diff commands to see what had changed between the two files. It appears the -u flag makes the outputted patch file a bit more robust with its info. This is going to be very handy in keeping track of what changes we make just with in our group and also with the main branch of the repository.
7.8 I felt this exercise was the same as the previous one unless he was trying to get you to go through the whole process from start to finish. Which I did do. It helped seeing what it looks like from the other side of the patching process.
7.9 This one was more of the same but it was with real code instead of some made up stuff. I will look into our current project and see if this is one of the preferred methods of submitting.
